Indian Baked Stuffed Atlantic Mackerel

Mackerel is the healthiest of all fatty fish like salmon and sardines because it has the highest Omega-3 content besides of highest amounts of mono-unsaturated fats. And it is delicious.

Served

This Indian stuffed mackerel is absolutely delicious. Marinated first for an extra layer of gustatory complexity or baked directly, the rich flavor of the stuffing matches the wonderful dense flavor of this fish. A good red wine and crusty French Peasant bread complement it.

Getting Started with Cooking Greens

 

 

Preheat the stove to 450 degree F

 

Preparation of the stuffing:

Marinade

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teasp lemon juice

1/2 teasp ginger powder,

1/2 teasp garlic powder,

Stuffing

1 tablespoon olive oil

small onion, finely chopped

1 small tomato, finely chopped

1 teasp curry powder

1/3 teasp ginger powder,

teasp mild red chili powder,

1/3 teasp turmeric powder,

1/3 teasp ground cinnamon,

1 tablespoons white wine vinegar

 

Mix all ingredients and fill into baking dish

Place filets skin up on top of mixture.

Directions

 

Prepare the Marinade if desired, Marinate for 2 hrs in fridge.

 

Preheat oven to 450 degree F

Prepare the Stuffing

 

Baking dish: Distribute the stuffing over the bottom

Place the fish filets with skin up into baking dish

Brush the filet with a little olive oil

Bake for 10 min or that fish remains moist and soft.

 

Prepare the salad and slice the bread.
